Lime Render

Lime plaster is a traditional building material, sympathetic to period constructions. The picture below is a lime and hair render we added to the front of a customers period property.

We have specialised in period properties for many a year now, being craftsmen in lime plasters and clay lump work.

Extension work in Suffolk

We have been very busy as of late. The jobs are coming in thick and fast, especially extensions. So I thought I had better show some more of the jobs we have been working on over the past couple of months.

We were fortunate enough to find another lovely customer to work with. She asked us to extend her house in Suffolk, and re-tile the roof as the tiles had started to break and crumble.

Another lovely reference

It's great when we make our customers happy, whether restoring or renovating their period property, or helping them create and build a complete new home or extension.

Here is another lovely reference following a recent job here in Suffolk...

Fireplace renovation and logburner installation in Suffolk

Renovating or rebuilding fireplaces is a job that has been regularly cropping up for us here in Suffolk and Essex.

It seemed only fitting to give one of our recent examples of a fireplace being readied for a new log burner installation.

Originally it was a narrow opening that would need widening in order to fit in the new log burner.

Bespoke stairs

Here is an example of some of our more specified works that we undertake for customers in Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire.

We have created and installed a lovely bespoke, hand-made oak staircase.

Conversions, renovations and new builds: Have the skills, will travel

As you may have seen, we cover a wide range of areas here at K.E. Jones & Son.

We have recently worked in Essex and Cambridge, Suffolk and London renovating and restoring period properties, including traditional sash windows, chimney stacks and fireplaces. We have also built extensions, converted old buildings for a new purpose and constructed new houses, too.

New bespoke kitchens in Suffolk and Essex

We were recently asked to redevelop a customer's kitchen in Bury St. Edmunds in Suffolk.

The family wanted the kitchen to be given an open-plan feel, providing more space and light. A more confortable living and working area with the home's hub.

"I am more than happy to recommend K.E. Jones & Son"

At K.E Jones & Son, over our many years serving people in Suffolk and Essex, we have been very fortunate to work for many great customers, helping them restore or renovate their period property, convert their buildings for a new purpose, build extensions or construct new build properties.

We have received another glowing reference from a customer following a recent kitchen renovation in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

Thought it was about time for another update. So here is a job we carried out in the summer; very dusty work, but one of those jobs that you can stand back at the end and really see the difference. We were asked to repoint the front face of a property bringing it back to its former glory.

Wind damage?

We have been very busy fixing the damage done by the recent storm. If you have had any damage to your property dont hesitate to call us, we have a network of suppliers and reclaimers that can source any tile or material. Wind damage
