We did a complete renovation of this beautiful farmhouse in Elmsett. The job involved installing new soleplates, upright oak beams and brickwork. We had to prop up and underpin the structure. We had to remove the sand and cement render to expose the perished timbers and soleplates. We preserved the original wattle and daub, and used Savolit boarding prior to lime plastering.
