Having one of the sole plates replaced in my cottage was a really nerve-wracking idea, but it was necessary to stop damp, along with the removal of some concrete render of the external wall, that someone in the past had thought was a good idea.....  I approached K.E. Jones for a quote and was reassured by Ben's approach, skill and knowledge and calm, relaxed approached to such work.  The project went without a hitch and was kept completely on budget.  Ben's highly skilled team really knew what they were doing and it was impressive to see them attend to the repair of an old building with such skill, care and attention. They also put up with me taking photos every half an hour when something new happened, that I wanted to capture! I can't recommend K.E. Jones enough. The team really take pride in their work, use the correct traditional materials to ensure repairs will last and are in keeping with the building's age and are very professional. A few months ago I had a vision to completely change our current boot room/utility – from the start Ben totally understood what I wanted to achieve and came up with a plan that not only delivered what I wanted aesthetically but also stuck to within our budget. We were very pleased with the high level of craftmanship that all Ben’s team showed throughout the project as well as their reliability and temperament. We are really glad that we chose  K.E. Jones and Son Ltd. From the outset, we felt that this was a company that we could trust. They proved to be not only highly professional but easy to work with too – thanks to Ben's talent as an excellent communicator.
We needed extensive remedial work on an extension to the rear of our cottage. This included a new roof and a complete re-render of its 3 walls. All repairs were carried out to a high standard and it's left us confident that the extension is now solid as a rock.
The day the work started the weather turned really bad and it rained for at least 3 days out of 5 for the duration of the project. But that didn't deter Ben and his team, they stayed enthusiastic and ploughed on regardless.
As usual, there were a few unforeseen snags but these were quickly and conscientiously put right.
