Wehave started a new job in Nayland this week, retaining a garage and outbuilding that have been affected by movement. We are installing retaining walls, gabions, block work and metal rods.  Gabions are baskets/containers filled with stones or other material that are often used to stop or slow down run-off of water, ot to stabolize slopes that have seepage problems. They can also be used purely for aesthetic purposes, or to help retain walls and embankments. Sometimes they are used as noise barriers too.
