We have been really busy in Boxford this week! This is our other site in the village. We made repairs to a period property that had water damage which had affected the timber structure. We replaced the soleplates and upright oak timbers, followed by insulation and lime render.

We have been working on a period property in Boxford. The ceiling rafters had split, so we have replaced them with green oak and savolit boarding. Next stage is lime plastering.

We have started a new job in Boxford this week. The internal soil stack at the property has been leaking for many years which has caused substantial dampness and corrosion of the upright oak timbers. As well as repairing the leak, we will be  replacing and repairing the rotten oak where applicable.

We would like to wish all our Customers and social media followers past, present and future a very merry Christmas!

This week our feature is on new builds. We can create an individual yet functional home. We specialise in one-off builds and are often asked to create builds with a period-property feel. We can advise on materials and source suitable reclaimed materials for a sustainable home. Click the QR code below to view some examples of some of the new builds we have built over the years. Get in touch to discuss your needs!

This week’s feature is on period properties. We have had many years of experience in restoring period properties and grade I and I listed buildings across the region. It is so important to use specially trained builders when renovating a period property as we will maintain the integrity of the property. Without specialist expertise you could risk costly, and potentially irreversible damage. Contact us to discuss your needs. We can advise on permissions needed and meet with your planning officer and local conservation officer. We can help bring your period property back to life! Take a look at our Instagram reel by scanning the QR code to see some more examples of our work on period properties.

This week at Clare we have been using reclaimed Suffolk white bricks  and lime mortar to carry out brick repairs due to damage caused by movement.

This week's spotlight is on conversions.  We have successfully converted stables, barns, coach houses, lofts, basements and garages over our many years in business. Conversions change the function of an existing building to a new use to meet new requirements. Having a conversion can mean that you  can improve the home you have, rather than deciding to move house. If you are thinking of converting your home, give us a call or send us a message to discuss your needs!

Check out our Instagram page showing some of the conversions we have done by scanning the QR code below.

Over the next few weeks we will be featuring a different aspect of the business. This week we are featuring some of the extensions that we have completed over the years. Creating an extension to a building can be a wonderful way to create the extra space needed for modern living. We can do this for you in a style of your choice ranging from period property style up to state of the art modern style. No job is too big or too small. Drop us a message or give us a call to discuss your needs.

Please scan the QR code below to view some of the extensions we have built over the years.
