Our job in Edwardstone this week was to strengthen up existing floorboards, then lay hard board. This was followed by an insulation membrane, then another layer of ply.

We have completed structural bracing, installed soleplates, brick plinths and pointing, French drain, carried out oak repairs, installed internal lime panels and savolit boarding. We are now waiting for the temperature to go up a bit so that we can get started with the lime plastering!

We continued working on our Newton site this week. We have installed a French drain, which will help to redirect ground and surface water away from the property, thus preventing water damage to the property.

We have been working on a damp problem in Little Waldingfield. As you can see from the photo with the pictures hanging on the wall, there were movement cracks that had been caused by the damp. We installed a french drain externally and repointed the brickwork, as well as replacing all perished bricks.

Internally we lime rendered followed by lime plastering.

We have started a new job for customers that have recently moved to Long Melford. We have started with some lime plastering, and will be undertaking a complete renovation of the property next year.

Next week we begin the re-roofing at Newton Green.

We have also got the floor insulation down and the vapour barrier and screed complete. Next steps inside are the internal insulation and plaster-boarding.
