This week's spotlight is on conversions.  We have successfully converted stables, barns, coach houses, lofts, basements and garages over our many years in business. Conversions change the function of an existing building to a new use to meet new requirements. Having a conversion can mean that you  can improve the home you have, rather than deciding to move house. If you are thinking of converting your home, give us a call or send us a message to discuss your needs!

Over the next few weeks we will be featuring a different aspect of the business. This week we are featuring some of the extensions that we have completed over the years. Creating an extension to a building can be a wonderful way to create the extra space needed for modern living. We can do this for you in a style of your choice ranging from period property style up to state of the art modern style. No job is too big or too small. Drop us a message or give us a call to discuss your needs.

We have been busy at our Whatfield site this week and are now ready for rendering and the application of GRP - glass reinforced plastic. This material is sustainable and helps buildings resist corrosion and the weather.

We have rebuilt the chimney stack at our Sudbury site using lime mortar and hand made imperial bricks. We had to remove the sand and cement render as dampness was bleeding in internally. We then replaced the perished bricks to match the existing ones, and used lime pointing to help it breathe again.

We have had a busy week at Long Melford. New windows and door have been installed and we are now ready to lime render.

Another busy week - in Long Melford the render has been removed and stainless EML (expanded metal lath) is being fixed. This is followed by application of SBR (styrene butadiene rubber latex) which is a bonding agent.

Purpose-made box sash windows made by Middleton Joinery are being installed at Honey Tye.
